Maison Dourthe will entrust its overall management to Pénélope Godefroy beginning in May, marking the end of the two‑headed leadership that succeeded founder Patrick Jestin’s 2022 retirement.
Godefroy brings comprehensive credentials—an agronomy and oenology degree from Institut Agro Montpellier, an MBA from Kedge Business School, and years of experience at Artemis Domaines. She is charged with driving Dourthe’s development plan forward: widening distribution, enhancing brand prestige, and elevating key labels such as the N°1 cuvée, Château La Garde, Château Le Boscq and Château Belgrave.
In the restructured hierarchy, Valentin Jestin will shift to deputy general manager, focusing on market growth and client relations, while technical director Frédéric Bonnafous departs to pursue new professional opportunities outside the company.
Godefroy has already outlined her priorities: balancing ambitious expansion with uncompromising quality and sustainable innovation. She will oversee Dourthe’s eight estates—including Belgrave, Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac, Pey La Tour, Rahoul, Reysson and Ricaud—applying her terroir‑driven approach to reinforce their signature styles.
With clear leadership and a refreshed strategic vision, Maison Dourthe aims to accelerate its ascent in both domestic and international markets while preserving the craftsmanship that has defined its wines for generations.
